Emirates City, Ajman Guide

Ajman is located along the persian Gulf with a population of approximately 235,000.  The population was only 36,100 in 1980, which grew considerably in recent years, due to an influx of people from the neighbouring emirates of Dubai, Sharjah and other countries.  Today, Ajman is growing fast and becoming an end user and investor haven due to its proximity to the strong economy of Dubai and its low cost of living. Ajman is home to five star hotels, sandy beaches, large universities, schools, shopping centres and leisure activities.  Emirates City Development, a town sized development in Ajman is part of a series of projects currently under construction that are aimed at accentuating the economic progress of Ajman. Emirates City will consist of approximately 72 residential and commercial towers.  The towers will be surrounded by lakes and green parks, as well as having a shopping district, mosques, five star hotels, educational and medical facilities.
